Steven Whitaker is a Partner, Chief Financial Officer and a member of the Executive Committee of the firm.  He joined Vision Capital in 2009.

Steven is also the firm’s Compliance Officer and is a member of the Taxation Committee of the British Venture Capital Association. Prior to joining Vision Capital Steven was Head of Finance at the international hedge fund manager Brevan Howard.  Previously, Steven gained over ten years private equity experience at 3i. He was based in Frankfurt for four years as 3i’s Operations Director for Germany, Austria and Switzerland. After returning to 3i's London head office, Steven was appointed Group Financial Controller and joined the Board of 3i plc shortly after. Steven has a first class honours degree in English Literature and qualified as a chartered accountant in 1995 after three years audit and accountancy experience with KPMG.
