Johan Van de Steen is an Operating Partner with responsibility for the global portfolio and a member of the Executive Committee of the firm. He joined Vision Capital in 2009. He also sits on the boards of JDR Cables, Bormioli Rocco and United Initiators.
He was previously an Operating Partner at KKR, which he joined in 2002, where he was involved in a number of portfolio businesses including Alliance-Boots, NXP (formerly Philips Semiconductors), AVR-Van Gansewinkel, Selenia, ATU and Tenovis. Previously, he has been CEO of a technology company, worked at McKinsey & Company in London and at Siemens Communications. Johan has an M.Sc. at high distinction in Electrical Engineering/Telecoms from Leuven University, Belgium and an MBA from INSEAD. He is a Belgian national who speaks fluent Dutch, French and German.
