Vision Capital – the London headquartered investment firm that specialises in buying portfolios of companies - has formally adopted partnership status and at the same time strengthened its investment team with two hires: Lorenzo Russo as a Partner and Daryl Cohen as an Associate.
Lorenzo, an Italian national, joins from Change Capital, the specialist retail and consumer goods private equity house which he joined in 2003 as the firm’s first principal, becoming a Director in 2006. Prior to Change Capital he worked for TD Capital on a number of telecom and media deals. Lorenzo gained his corporate finance training at Salomon Brothers, and then obtained an MBA from Harvard Business School. He has a BA in Business Administration from Bocconi University.
Daryl began his career in 2000 at Goldman Sachs in London as an analyst in the leveraged finance team and then the UK advisory group. He has five years’ investment experience at Hicks, Muse, Tate & Furst from 2003-2005 and then Silver Point Principal Finance Europe from 2005. He has a first class degree in Natural Sciences from Cambridge.
