Vision Capital
About us - Governance

Vision Capital welcomes Sir David Walker's "Guidelines for Disclosure and Transparency in Private Equity", which were published in November 2007. We intend to conform fully with the guidelines on a comply or explain basis. The information provided in this section of our website and in the sections indicated below covers the requirements of the Walker guidelines.

Vision Capital LLP
Vision Capital LLP, which is authorised and regulated by the Financial Services Authority (FSA), is either the investment advisor to the general partners that manage the firm's funds or has a discretionary management contract with them. The general partners are based in Guernsey and are licensed by the Guernsey Financial Services Commission.

Portfolio companies
See the "Portfolio" section of this website for information on Vision Capital's portfolio companies. Currently, none of Vision Capital's portfolio companies falls within the scope of the 'enhanced reporting' requirements of the Walker guidelines.

History and investment approach
See the "About Us" and "Investment Approach" sections of this website for a brief history of Vision Capital, information on its investment approach and case studies. See the "Portfolio" section of this website for information on investment holding periods.

The leadership team
The management board of Vision Capital LLP is responsible for the strategy and operations of the firm. The members of the management board are Julian Mash (Chief Executive), Andrew Hawkins and Alister Wormsley.

Except in cases where Vision Capital LLP has a discretionary management contract, directors of the general partners of each fund make investment decisions, taking into account the advice received from Vision Capital LLP.

Vision Capital has arrangements in place to ensure that any conflicts of interest that may arise in relation to our investment activities are managed fairly. Vision Capital maintains a Conflicts Register, which lists all potential conflicts that typically arise in a private equity business, including those that can arise between the fund manager, fund investors and the companies owned by the fund. Vision Capital's Systems and Controls Manual contains guidance on procedures that must be followed in the event that conflicts of interest arise.
